Winter is here and like clockwork we are all confused as if it didn’t happen every single year. The hardest transition is of course switching out your wardrobes and whether you are dusting last seasons bags from your storage or finally sliding open that front hall closet for your puffiest jackets we all go through that same struggle. There is something I have observed over the past few years, however. It’s hard to pinpoint if trends are to thank, or maybe instagram (our need of constantly document the best life has to offer), but the selection of winter boots and outerwear has improved exponentially. It’s like all of a sudden the world decided it was worth getting dressed up for winter! And let me tell you, as someone who spends a lot of time in he cold white Canadian north this couldn’t make me happier!

So how do you style your winter boots? With a side of a frozen waterfall of course. There is no better way to test out your new footwear than to take it out for a spin where you will most need it. In this case, the Rocky Mountains. These Peri Cougar boots not only passed every practical test of a good winter boot (soft, warm, great grips to prevent slipping AND waterproof) but are also easy on the eyes. Take note, because this pony hair boot, and the other two styles, are only here for a limited time. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Unlike the core Cougar collection this style is from the new Small Batch collection, which, naturally makes them that much more appealing. For those that don’t know, pony hair, unlike the name suggests is actually leather made from cow hides, to clean it you just wipe with a damp cloth and comb with a small brush to set the hair in place.

The trick to all winter dressing is layers, the more the better. Layers are easy to ditch but nothing is more miserable then not having enough. And remember that you don’t have to sacrifice style for function any longer. Check out www.cougarshoes.com to find your next winter fave! xoxo

Thank you! It was so crazy standing on the frozen waterfall, we went back the next day and it had melted a little already, I was too scared to try it again 😛

The outfit looks great but the tittle of the post is kinda deceiving.. I thought it was about how to style.. meaning different ways to style winter boots not just pictures of one outfit and one boot.. which is clearly just an advertisement for the boots brand. Disappointing.
