If my instagram feed is any indication Christmas has taken over. I never really think I’ll get into it, until that is December 1st rolls around. All of a sudden I am totally that person who buys every ornament and seeks out every Christmas Market. Luckily we were in Toronto for a big portion of December and our place is a two minute walk from the distillery district, which is the location for the annual Toronto Christmas Market , and is it ever magical! We ended up spending nearly every day at the market, waiting for sunset and walking the little cobble stone alleyways taking in the beautiful christmas lights and decorations. And what a perfect place for a weekend destination or a weekday date drinking mulled wine or enjoying the outdoor beer garden with your loved ones. If you ever feel like you could use an extra dose of that Christmas Spirit this is the place to visit. Did you know that the entrance to the market is free on weekdays?
There is no better way to take in the market then of course to dress for the occasion. Staying warm is key and this season’s winter collections from Gap, Banana Republic & Old Navy took to another level of festive. Shearling coats, tartan pants and fair ilse knits! I mean, when I spotted the Sloan tartan trouser at Banana Republic I immediately snatched it up to match Tyler’s wool version from the Gap. I was planning a skirt with this outfit originally but the weather wouldn’t have it. The holiday collections go way beyond your Christmas market getup. I am currently sitting here in my striped Old Navy onesie that has basically become my holiday uniform. In fact back in Calgary we are doing the snow dance everyday because December is just not white enough for my liking. With only a few days left till Christmas make sure to check out the Old Navy stocking stuffer gift guide to get those perfect last minute gifts for the whole family and stay tuned for a very special stocking stuffer giveaway from yours truly coming at you TOMORROW following my breakfast television segment, someone will clean up this holiday season! xoxo
