I may be a few hundred pairs of sneakers away from a fully blown sneaker head but I do have my fair share of sneakers in the ever expanding shoe closet, not to mention that I have sworn off heels and let’s face it, comfort is king. If you haven’t gotten on the ‘abstract’ train yet, you absolutely must! I have seriously referenced it at least a dozen times since I finished the Netflix series and here is another one. Episode two is dedicated to Tinker Hatfield, an American shoe designer responsible for a the Nike Air Jordan phenomenon. It feels especially timely because of the recent Air Max celebrations and who else to thank but the man himself. Another reason to watch! We have seen some really amazing collabs and limited edition styles come out in the recent weeks. Not to mention the entire Spring Air Max line hitting the store shelves in time to celebrate the shoes 30th anniversary.

The Nike Air Max sneaker has seen some MAJOR fashion moments over the last three decades and the Air not only revolutionized the Sneaker and Running World but it set a whole attitude of street wear all over the globe. Originally released in 1987, the Air Max started it all. The line has since expanded to fan favorites like the Jewel, Flyknit and Vapormax, all of which you have seen me rock on the blog at one point or another. I LOVE the ease and instant cool a sneaker brings to an outfit. One of my all time favorites is my white pair of Air Max from a few years ago, the style that, for me, elevated the way I wear sneakers all together, which coincidentally are very similar to the Nike Air Max 1SE style I am wearing in these photos. It went from a casual shoe to the focal point of the entire look. It also doesn’t hurt to always have a few pairs on hand when you travel.
