with our quick whistler getaway just hours away i thought it would be appropriate to throw it back to our last time in the wilderness with canada goose, in montana. we couldn’t leave without taking some shots around our lodgings, the fall colors work so beautifully together, october was really the best time of year to visit. you can see the rest of our photos and the canada goose x pendleton collaboration here, i will be re-living that trip for some time still. i rarely get to dress so casually for the blog and i really enjoyed the opportunity. the trick is finding ways to put fun into functional. you’re ultimate goal is to be warm but it doesn’t mean that the whole look has to suffer. my favourite way of getting inspired for outfits that are in an unfamiliar territory is to think of characters i’ve seen in similar settings and draw from theit looks. for the cold in the wild west my new favourite inspiration is the hateful eight trailer and for our getaway to the whistler film festival i will be looking to sundance. stay tuned to see what i come up with. the essential, surefire way of getting a head start is to always think in terms of layers, the more the merrier. color always helps the eye travel and adds an interesting element to any outfit. i know black is easy and safe, but i’ve never liked to take the easy road. canada goose gives you an option to customize any jacket in the color of your choice. don’t forget to play. xoxo
wearing: canada goose chelsea parka, rails la shirt, 7 for all mankind vest, paige, paige denim jeans, lacoste boots, pendleton hat
Love how you focus on the setting and atmosphere in order to put together a certain look. This makes dressing for the cold more exciting and it allows for experimentation. One colorful piece, such as the Canada Goose jacket, can complete an entire outfit. Check out my blog to see the many ways to dress for changing seasons: http://www.telavivcouture.blogspot.com/
