women, like men, should try to do the impossible. and when they fail, their failure should be a challenge to others – amelia earhart
it’s been exactly two months since my last poppy barley post, how time flies! but they didn’t forget about us just yet. with more exciting collaborations coming through to fall we are proud to share the newest instalment of our poppy barley adventure. every new poppy barley collection is my favorite, (that’s just how i roll) but this one is also timeless and fittingly unisex. ever wanted to grab his and hers? well now you can + more on that later. in the meantime these amelia oxfords take the spot of my most coveted shoes for every season. this oxford, inspired by amelia earhart, and ‘her’ version of the edmonton oxford in the poppy barley men’s collection, is made of all premium materials, is easy on the eyes AND the feet. i talked about how comfortable the poppy barley sole was and i stand by that claim. my favorite part of having their made to measure service is that i can finally give my feet a break from the never ending battle with blisters.
if you live in calgary, next weekend you will get a chance to test this theory by yourself. poppy barley will be coming to chinook centre for a special PARKshop appearance at their pop-up space from june 18-21 (first level, across from swarovski). you can make your appointment online to guarantee a fitting or just walk in and have a one-on-one time with the shoes, there is really nothing else like experiencing it with all your senses. if you are unable to attend make sure to follow poppy barley on social media for updates on all of their upcoming pop-ups and appearances in your city, @poppybarley on instagram + twitter. stay tuned for a special cameo from our very own tyler stalman in our his + hers story, coming later this week. xoxo
