night became morning, sunrise chased us, we never stopped

with the second weekend of coachella just a few days away and stampede just around the corner festival season is in full swing. we will be missing the festival this year, and waited till the very last minute to make the decision. a bummer indeed but there will always be next year, and dare i say it a really big year for me so we’ll definitely want to make the most of it. i’m excited to get things started early this season with an exciting denim & supply ralph lauren collaboration. the all american brand teamed up with a group of young artists to create a series of (really) short stories which hope to inspire your creativity and in turn share yours. my story? tyler knott gregson’s 9 word ode to adventure: night became morning, sunrise chased us, we never stopped. my challenge? to translate his words into pictures. this is where #projectwarehouse comes to life.

interpretation is everything, and mine, oddly enough started to feel pretty close to home, when i slipped on the floral maxi and plaid shirt. it felt it more than appropriate to throw on a pair of cowboy boots and hat making me festival ready. the poem rings very true for us with always being on the move, so we saw this project as an opportunity to try and slow down for a minute and enjoy alberta’s landscape. we managed to catch a break between the rain and snow and met the sunrise, which, if you know me, can be a quite the challenge in and of itself.

denim & supply is really celebrating the new, creative generation and the power of individual expression. okay…the chance to win $1,000 of denim & supply clothes and a trip for two to new york for a fashion shoot is maybe an added incentive. so, now i’m challenging you to share your own story and interpretation by uploading an original pic or video of yourself or a scene to instagram.  get festival ready and pick up your favourite denim & supply looks at hudson’s bay, in store or online. make sure to tag #projectwarehouse and don’t shy away from being as creative as you like. check out the #projectwarehouse website for more details and make sure your instagram account is public. xoxo

wearing: denim & supply dress & button down, gladys tamez millinery hat, ray-ban sunglasses
