wearing: jnby top & pants, zara bag & sandals
one of my responsibilities, when hosting an event, includes picking out the right outfit, i know! i love my job. when all is said and done though, it’s harder than it looks. the outfit has to be season appropriate, it has to fit with brand image, and most importantly it has to work well for me when i move, when i converse with people, when i take photos. the perfect outfit will draw attention but will make my life, as a host, easy. fortunately, jnby does most of the work for me. for the calgary store opening i nearly went all white, their basics work so well and are versatile across many styles. this until, the resort button up caught my attention. a play on the always popular floral pattern, yet staying true to the jnby aesthetic, working with light weight cotton fabrics and drawing on their signature, almost androgynous cuts, made this an obvious choice. the white cotton pant was my favourite find, however. a 34″ inseam, even though not uncommon in people, is almost impossible to find in stores. this trouser, sized up, makes for the perfect, loose fitting summer pant. and as per my hosting responsibilities, check out my facebook page for more coverage of last week’s event. shop my favourite accessory picks for this clean spring look below. xoxo
