following my instagram feed may not be an out of the ordinary experience, until that is, you start noticing the ###hashtags### and the theme for the summer has been #mjhoneyspots, taking over instagram and twitter alike, the marc jacobs new fragrance, honey*, hit the shelves and is now taking over our social media. our assignment: to document some of our favourite spots around the city. because my newly found full time job calls for sharing my everyday life with my readers, i already snap all note worthy moments of my day. as an instant update of what i am up to make sure to follow me on instagram at @aniab. lucky for me (and my instagram followers) i get to be in between the  west coast and calgary in the next few weeks. i chose a couple of my current favourite honey spots to share on the blog as well as a preview of some of our coming work.

on the top of the list is one of our favourite shooting spots, calgary’s nosehill park, a beautiful in-the-heart-of-the-city hiking spot and a lookout area with one of the best views of calgary’s downtown, the tall grasses and beautiful colors easily make this one of the most serene, protected locations within the city limits. we shot kim here a couple of weekends ago so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for final images coming your way.
brought on by my ten year old nephew, one of my newest obsessions: david’s tea, the perfect alternative to coffee. it has become a trend of it’s own in the last year, we’ve seen the opening of many tea shops across the city, but david’s in particular captured my attention with their packaging, logo design and general branding. i love going into the shop picking through the variety of teas lining the walls, more satisfying even is the moment of savouring the taste while snuggled up on the couch reading my favourite book.
among those places in calgary that draws me time and time again is 17th avenue in the uptown area of the city. one of my favourite spots for street style spotting, the ten block stretch starting at 4th all the way to 14th streets is where my favourite stylistas go after working hours, where downtown swarms with crowds on a 9 to 5 basis, 17th is where the people like to be seen. with the opening of analog coffee shop along the heart of mount royal village, there is an endless amount of people watching. having spent most of my summer along these ten blocks i can safely say this is number one on my list of places that make me happiest. truly and undeniably #myhoneyspot xoxo
