calgary comic & entertainment expo 2011-super post… p.1

by default… and choice i spent the entire weekend roaming around the calgary comic book expo, stalking people into letting me take their pictures and just admiring the whole thing in general. this year might have been bigger than last, people really got into their costumes, and even though my knowledge of comic book characters is limited to about 1% of all the ones i even took photos of i’m overly impressed. the best part of the convention for me is seeing punks. the last time i saw a punk in calgary must have been at last year’s expo, back when my phone took pretty decent pictures still (as seen HERE). we actually have a concept for a shoot with these rebellious kids, the tricky part is persuading them what a good idea it is… after finding them that is. i could not have possibly included all the photos from the weekend in one post, so there will be two. this was really such an awesome weekend, the people just blew me away, i swear this is where normalcy really takes place, everything ELSE is the freak show. xoxo
