march 21: first day of spring

i got so excited when finally we had a full weekend of dry weather. not nice just dry, which is already a huge step up from what’s been happening. but of course my joy, as always was very premature. i am sitting at my dining room table overlooking another snow storm through the window. even though this is, theoretically the first day of spring, no such luck for us. it still beats the constantly rainy weather i encountered in toronto in the last week but seriously i’m uber annoyed. yes! i said uber. in the next couple of weeks we will have some great fashion events happening in the city. fashion has no borders with host jeanne beker is essentially one of those exhibition deals with booths set up of different retailers/services with a couple of events scheduled throughout the day including image consultations and makeovers, i believe there is also a fashion show, as to the details i can not say, perhaps a little more info is in order, seeing as this is a FASHION event. you can get more information about fashion has no borders here. the second, a little closer to my heart is fabricated, where a group of my greatly talented fashion conscious friends got together to put on this event in mid april showcasing some of calgary’s great design talent and bringing together people from the industry. together with park it really looks like something is actually starting to happen around here. i am very excited to see where all this takes us.  as always there is always looking forward to trunk shows and promo events at holt renfrew. be sure to come on march 26th for a special accessory packed weekend. details and photos to come.
