as deceiving as these photos may be, this in fact is NOT the backdrop of a sears photo studio but what’s happening outside right about now here in calgary, and for the next 4 months, possibly even 6. it’s freezing cold and it’s impossible to wear any shoes other than uggs, and really anyone who lives in an arctic environment will know how precious those ugg boots can be, even if they are unbearable to look at and everyone who cares about style would never dare to put them on. unfortunately i live in them during the long winter months. the trick is to bring whatever inside shoes you wish and change upon arrival. i don’t think i have to state the obvious and say that that is super annoying. so you learn to adjust. for now i will be thinking up ways (and possibly inside locations) to take photos in, otherwise it’ll be me in the same getup day after day, somehow i don’t think that would appeal to many people. tomorrow vancouver. (rabbit fur earmuffs, zara coat, club monaco gloves, talulla plaid shirt, bdg jeans, ugg boots)
Uggs are not the only winter boot, Ania! Get some Sorels or something. JEEZ.

oh my gawd! are you serious!? I’ve been complaining about 4C here in Ottawa… YIKES! You look extra chic in that jacket though, and I must admit, as much as I hate winter, it makes for some seriously beautiful image backdrops! Stay warm!

As great as you look in these pictures, they make me feel super relieved that I no longer live in Canada lol. It’s been around 18 degrees celsius in New York this week. But at least you can justify being in your great furs!!

I have the same coat! I bought it while I was in Calgary cause they don’t have a Zara in Portland…which sucks.
