bad ol’ puddy tat! you fwightened me! you made me wittle heart quiver!

in a desperate attempt not to repeat ourselves with locations for our photos we seem to have started frequenting really obscure places (our way of working up). this week we visited a gravel lined parking lot behind some crack houses and abandoned shopping carts. all in the light of day of course and as close to the city as possible. not that these background are visually pleasing in any way, or even thematically intersting, we are just trying it out. we don’t have the beach or beautiful architecture so this will have to do. we had to cancel our trip to new york over christmas, sad. but we instead postponed it to this summer, we figured this way we will get longer daylight and better weather to do things like walk around and explore, plus my parents would have stayed here all by themselves and now we can spend it together, present-less as we all agreed to. from my point of view that just means more shopping for myself :D. i’ve been rummaging through my closet and found this canary yellow dress (or as everyone yesterday was commenting: shirt) that has not been worn for some time now. somehow i never feel cheerful enough to wear it, it’s too happy of a color for my usual moods (thanks for that rob) but it does move beautifully and the fabric feels really nice, it kind of reminds me of the way tissue paper felt like in poland (called ‘bibulka’), the kind that we would take to color our hair in different funky colors because it staied so much. and of course it seems like spring has come back. with the weather so unusually nice it was a good occasion to come out and play.
