from ‘the circus: 1870-1950’ by noel daniel

i saw this at chapters at 50% off and i thought it was a great source of inspiration. the colors, the outfits and the stories themselves (hello original siamese twins with 2 wives and 22 children). i remember when i was a little girl we used to have the circus come to town once or twice a year, the tents and the poor abused animals in cages included. sometimes i imagine what it would be like to run away and join the circus, or at least what it would be like to have the option. i think i would like to have it as an option.
