yes they are. my dad wrote them to my mum when he was in the army around 1969. my mum just recently got back from a trip to poland and she brought back a lot of their old photographs and letters. i got really excited and went to frame a whole bunch of them and posted them on here. i love everything about these old pictures. life would really be more fabulous in black and white
