a sad day for poland. the polish president, his wife, several top military officials and the head of the polish national bank were killed in a plane crush this morning. the polish delegation was flying from warsaw to mark the 70th anniversary of the katyn massacre of thousands of poles by soviet forces during WWII. i didn’t really follow polish politics but i can just imagine right now there will be people who will want to take advantage of the situation to put in place a government that nobody will approve of, using unification as an excuse and playing on people emotions. the whole country is in mourning
