LOCATION: 2 min walk away from town, water and bonj ‘les bains’ beach club, few steps away from outdoor movie theatre, and 5 min uphill walk to fortica (best views in town)
If you are staying in the town of Hvar chances are, you probably booked a hotel which means you will be within walking distance of the ferry. You could have also gotten an air b&b which may require you to take a taxi past the main area of town (both very solid options). Pharos is a ten minute walk (uphill) from where you get off the ferry. Be warned the walk is also lined with cobble stone, which can be tricky to navigate when you have a lot of luggage.
The hotel was freshly renovated just two years ago and went from drab to one of the hottest hotels on the island. The interior is young modern and contemporary, the prices affordable for any tourist and the crowd is very trendy. In fact the main lobby showcases a curated rotating gallery of the latest IG hash tagged photos of the property and you may even catch one of your own images displayed here. I had read reviews online that skew younger so know what to expect. The hotel is a 2 minute downhill walk into town and the water. There is an outdoor movie theatre just a few steps from the hotel where you can catch showings of latest Hollywood blockbusters for just a few bucks. It’s a really cute way of spending an evening. The experience itself could be more memorable then the movie itself. Bring butt pillows and blankets to stay warm.
Take note of the INCREDIBLE complimentary breakfasts offered at your hotels. We were taken aback by how amazing hotels in Croatia were for this, the spread they put on knocks any North American continental breakfast out of the park. Expect a fully stocked buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, pasties, fruit, meats and cheeses and of course fresh bread! I could eat breakfast all day long if this is what it looked like. YUM! DO NOT miss it!
