On February 22nd, 2018 we welcomed the third Canadian location of Saks Fifth Avenue to Calgary. It marks their first Western Canadian location and the first location outside of Toronto and we are thrilled to have expanded the luxury goods offering in the city even further! This opening is just the tip of the iceberg of the excitement that is about to hit CF Chinook Centre in the coming years (more on that later). It’s easily our second home. We spend so much time shopping, eating and entertaining here that sometimes I actually wonder how much it would cost to rent one of the retail spaces as our studio. Wouldn’t that be something?!

Naturally with news like this we were first in line at the highly anticipated Saks Fifth Avenue store opening, with cards and wish lists in hand. First up, the shoe department. I am very familiar with the Saks offerings as we always visit when we are in Toronto, New York or Palm Springs (or anywhere in the US for that matter) and if there is one thing you can always count on, it is for Saks to have a killer shoe selection. Moving on to the eyewear department I spotted a pair of Moncler ski goggles and just like that checked off my summer AND winter essentials list. This is perfect for anyone who loves to indulge in a true shopping experience. Prom season is fast approaching, just saying! Personally, the fact I can now pick up my favourite fragrances (Byredo) and underwear (Hanro) here in Alberta at 5% sales tax might be the true highlight!
