They say the devil is in the details, and if you know me, you know this is basically my MO. This renovation could have been long over had I not carefully inspected every single step. In fact, even after going at it with a magnifying glass, I still had to make compromises – There are things I can’t control that I’ll just have to learn to live with, like my crooked shower head or bubbly wall… More on that later.
What I can control in this whole process, however, is how I choose to fill the space. As you may know, I recently applied for the MBNA Rewards World Elite® Mastercard® which allows me to redeem my points in a number of ways. The card offers five great rewards like travel rewards, cashback, merchandise and even charitable donations. If you need to get caught up on the progress of this project, make sure to read the first and second posts in this series. One of my favourite ways to redeem points is for gift cards and merchandise – I like to use my points for items I actually need for the house. It puts the fun BACK into refreshing your space. With the MBNA Rewards catalogue, you can redeem points for a variety of different items and gift cards. For the purpose of this post, we’ll only be focusing on our TV room (also known as the research room). I just watched a few old-school movies to prep myself for a shoot I needed inspiration for… hashtag I LOVE my job!
As the room is now almost complete and we no longer need any major furniture pieces, I can focus on selecting individual items from the catalogue. There were a few home accessories that caught my eye like the Google Home and the Nest Cam Indoor Camera. These really added to our new room, helping us create an awesome smart-home experience. Did I mention you can also redeem your points for gift cards!? With the points I earned from my MBNA Rewards World Elite ® Mastercard®, I was able to redeem one to Hudson’s Bay. I used it to buy my long time coveted HBC heritage blanket to make the room even more cozy – it really topped everything off! I found the process to redeem merchandise and gift cards through the MBNA Rewards catalogue very easy and perfect for this project because there is such a wide array of things that fit perfectly into our new space!
They say the MBNA Rewards World Elite® Mastercard® is like an “All-In-Wonder” card because you’ll wonder how you ever did without it – And I must say, I agree! It gives me the flexibility and freedom to choose how I redeem my points.

Great post.
My only query is, is it safe to share your card number in an image? Could someone not use these details? Not sure how it works in Canada, but I wouldn’t be sharing it here in Ireland if it was mine. 🙈
Have a good day.
Hi Jerry, thank you very much for your concern regarding the card. This is not the real information, however, we would not post that anywhere publicly. It’s a tricky thing talking about a credit card and not showing one so we made sure we had a dummy version 🙂 And thank you for reading the blog <3
These tips are surely exceptionally helpful. You’re the best to share these stunning home renovation tips.
