20160225-118A3505-Edit20160225-118A3176-Editwhen it comes to makeup you can really never know too much. new product launches happen daily and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. in the last couple of weeks there has been lots of conversation around mascara. which is the best one? how often do you switch? what is most important to you when you pick out mascara? do you look for volume? length? definition? lift? colour? it’s hard to always put your finger on the one singular thing that really makes a mascara great. some people swear by brand, others by applicator type, and others just like to try different ones all the time. i’m a strong believer of the latter. it’s not only that it’s my job to stay on top of new trends in fashion and beauty but as a [super] consumer i am also genuinely interested in trying anything at least once.

this Revlon Ultimate All-In-One mascara landed in quite a few of my goody bags so i thought it would be high time to finally give it a try. eyes are always the focus of my makeup routine, i am drawn to nude smoky shadows and always black mascara, for definition and everyday use. i kept it in the family and used the Revlon ColorStay 16-hour Eye Shadow in decadent and the Revlon Gold Series Titanium Coated Lash Curler (promising a 125% more lifted lash look) to finish off the look. my favourite feature of the Revlon Ultimate All-in-One Mascara has to be the size of the brush. with the smaller head i am able to reach every lash and get into the corners of my eyes without making a mess. you know that awkward moment when you are applying mascara, you blink in the wrong way, at the wrong time and find yourself with mascara on your lids, cheeks and who knows where else… well with the precision of this brush i find myself avoiding that mistake all together. the brush looks like a hollow eyelet making the application a real overall kind of experience, no lash is left untouched. i thought i would give you a before and after comparison so you can judge the results accordingly and let the photos do the talking. how often do you change things up in your makeup routine? Xoxo
