that la life

i know that fashion is very season dependant, and we certainly love our fall layers, but there really isn’t another time like summer, or a place like la. we keep spending more and more time across the border soaking up the sun and being ultra productive. there really isn’t a better motivator to get shit done than good weather. the inspiration is literally everywhere and the vast size of the place allows you to be constantly surprised.

we literally stepped off the plane from san francisco and headed straight for the hills, to an undisclosed location, to shoot our first poppy barley inspired outfit. for our collaboration with the canadian, made to measure shoe brand, we took their limited edition 07 collection out for a ride down where the sun is always shinning. this collection will be available to order in may, but until then you can get some seriously inspired sneak previews right here. i absolutely love LOVE poppy barley. for those who are not familiar with the brand, the sister duo from edmonton, kendall & justine started the company after being inspired by a custom pair of shoes they picked up on a trip to bali. as long as there is measuring tape and internet, they decided, anyone should have access to a great fitting, well designed pair of shoes. the struggle is very familiar to those who always seek that perfect pair of boots or even the shoe that is wide, or conversely, narrow enough for warmer weather. after squeezing myself into endless flats and pumps over the years i can really appreciate a good pair of shoes. i will even buy two of the same pair when i find one that works. so the first time i slipped on a pair of poppy barley flats i was a believer.
