for those of us in canada, black friday has finally become a big part of the holiday season. this year, it is more apparent then ever thanks to cadillac fairview. with preparations underway for november 28th there is already a ton to see and do. i partnered up with chinook centre in calgary to bring you some of my favourite picks and trends for this season. last week we shot a fun video taking you to some of my top spots to pick through the racks and help you make your black friday shopping a breeze.
chinook centre has prepared a number of surprises for the day of november 28th which you will have to come to the mall to discover for yourselves but there are a number of exciting new initiatives that should turn the focus all on fashion:
you can now download the CF SHOP! app where you will find all up to date deals at any of your local cadillac fariview malls across the country. it’s also an easy way of accessing the mall information, hours and store directories. from november 17-26, with the app download you can enter to win a $1000 shopping spree with a personal stylist.
from november 22-27 you can visit chinook’s target court for a personal style consultation to prep for the big day.

i know how overwhelming sale day can be, and as much as i love shopping and finding new trends and styles to try i do have my limits. having quite close-to-literally been living at chinook these past few months i have devised a number of survival strategies that help me be most efficient at tackling a day at the mall. here is a list of my top 10:

Wow you certainly got quite the haul! Great tips – especially to wear slip on shoes and a cross-body bag! I always park underground (Level two of the parkade below Harry Rosen is a gem!)
