a lesson in layering
Oct 28, 2014as we are still unpacking from our trip, i will take the next few days to take you on a recap of all the amazing things we have been up to while in new york and toronto. one of the first things we got to do when we landed was to partner up with
smart set on a project for their fall/winter season along with some of my favourite canadian bloggers. the premise:
1 piece, 10 bloggers, 10 different looks. we will be working together over the next few weeks to bring you a fun selection of differently styled outfits featuring one common item. this month it’s all about the
long cardigan. for
my look i chose to focus on the cardigan as a layering piece. i found this great wine-red jacket at the store, took my love for sets and the opportunity of cooling temperatures and created something fun around that (notice the hint of polka dot?). it is a great transitional option for your everyday wardrobe. great to dress up or wear casually with a pair of looser fitting trousers (as
vanessa,
gabrielle &
gracie did with their looks). this also makes the cardigan a great travel piece. having just returned from a week of getting on and off the plane i can appreciate items that can be worn in a combination of different ways, making packing less daunting. you can

ps. anyone else digging that plaid skirt on katelyn & ally?
