It’s here! It’s here! It’s here! We are officially starting the Stampede celebrations early because waiting two days is not an option! We started getting ready for Stampede in January this year during our trip to California. If we are anywhere near Pioneer Town there is not a moment that will go wasted. We have yet to visit Pappy and Harriet’s since we’re normally there at sunrise (vs. sunset) but we’ll get to it eventually. As you can tell we landed on the more chilly California mornings. At least it gave me an opportunity to wear one of my favourite sweaters of all time and a real zara treasure. People always ask how I find so many western inspired looks that aren’t covered in rhinestones and the answer to that question is always that I simply shop for Stampede all year round AND all over the world. It’s interesting because I am actually able to find way more western pieces everywhere else BUT at the heart of it all. You can find anything if you look hard enough, and sometimes things just fall into your lap when you least expect it. EXCEPT for hats, those are always, ALWAYS Smithbilt! I got into a personal tradition of picking up a new hat, or two… or three, every year, weeks in advance. Brian is always at the ready to take my crazy ideas and make them into reality. There aren’t many places left that take this much pride in their craft, let alone let you customize the product to your very specifications. Not to mention Holly who is the queen of design, coming up with new styles, color ways and variations all year round. This post is not sponsored but I will always be the biggest cheerleader for the Smithbilt brand. They help to elevate any look into my dream cowboy perfection. I LIVE for these 10 days and I can’t wait to bring you along for the adventure yet again. *REMEMBER* to follow on IG for exclusive looks and inspo that won’t be making it to the blog! xoxo
