Despite of what you may think, +12 degrees in Poland is not the +12 degrees we are used to in the prairies. Basically you are looking at the difference between ‘it’s still winter, bring my Canada Goose jacket or you WILL regret it’ vs. ‘sun’s out buns out’. So when I was packing for Europe, under the impression it will be +12 degrees (aka. Spring), I thought for sure a light coat or a sweater will suffice. Was I ever wrong! Lesson learned, when in doubt bring a parka. After all is said and done, I did get sick, do I remember the misery? no! Do I have great memories and great pics? YEA! I did actually end up buying a Max Mara coat while we were in Copenhagen and (SHOCKINGLY) saved about a cool GRAND getting it in Europe if you can believe it! I call THAT serendipity, because if I was prepared that would have ever happened.
Back to this post however, thoughts on this Zara head-to-toe look? I’m not going to lie I totally grabbed the whole thing straight from their lookbook because I loved it that much. If anyone ever feels bad for doing that, seriously, don’t even think twice about it. Even though their styling ideas are just suggestions, you can’t help when they are great! The Prada grommet bag and the location though, that’s all me! The National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, Zacheta, by the way, is free every thursday, their bookstore is outstanding and the art is REAL. To be completely honest I do get more excited about seeing the architecture of galleries more than the art itself. Not that I don’t love art, I just really prefer to own it, hanging it on my own walls and looking at it over longer periods of time more than I ever enjoy looking at it on walls of museums or galleries. The moment is too fleeting and I am a creature of comfort, what can i say? If you are in the area make sure you pay it a visit. I will also be giving you a peek inside this amazing place in my next, Warsaw City Guide post! xoxo
