Style By Night with Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Just in case you are sitting there and thinking that life of a blogger is all glamour and free products you should see me now. Sitting at an airport carousel typing like a maniac to catch up with Canadian time difference from East to West coast, Tyler beside me frantically editing images that we shot just 5 short hours prior, this means that between catching an early morning flight and chasing deadlines we didn’t actually get any proper sleep (unless you of course count the quick nap we took while the plane was landing and taking off… no laptops allowed of course). It’s an amazing opportunity to be able to catch a moment to ourselves and I am so excited to be back in Toronto again for a very special event taking place tomorrow at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Style By Night where i’ll definitely be squeezing some alone time with various shoe departments and beauty counters. If you haven’t heard of Yorkdale yet you really need to brush up on your shopping knowledge. This is the Canadian Holy Grail of Shopping Centers. We are talking Gucci, Versace, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, all with free standing boutiques in this insanely beautiful space that makes the shopping experience appear as though it is outdoors. Clearly that’s an impossibility in Canada, street shopping is rare and even the most seasoned canuks aren’t going to sacrifice the comfort of being able to leave your jacket in the car.

To kick off the fall shopping season Yorkdale is staying open extra late tomorrow (September 22nd, until 10pm) and throwing a bash to prove it! Along with a DJ and a preview of their upcoming mega expansion (Nordstrom, the very first global Canada Goose store, UNIQLO and Mackage are just some of the highlights you can look forward to) I am going to be on site as one of their 7 style bar activations. @elanacamille will be doing fashion illustration, a style experience bar will give you a chance to win a private style session, there is a braid bar, makeup bar and dessert bar and of course what would a party be without a couple style bloggers to show you our favourite fall fashion trends, make sure to follow @aniab on instagram & @ania_boniecka on snapchat for live coverage from the event to see all the action.
