i can not express to you how beyond frustrating it is to not be able to connect to a proper internet network when you travel. more so even when expecting that such things are no longer a luxury but a standard service. to quickly review our stay at the roosevelt hotel i will only stress the poor quality of service and the lack of a readily available connection. we are not high maintenance travellers by any means. we generally keep to ourselves, we never have outrageous requests or demands. where logic lies it should be obvious that if i can get free wi-fi at a motel 6 i should be able to get it at the nyc roosevelt without much of a discussion. end of rant.
on the contrary to the above experience the nyfw life outside of our hotel was more eventful then ever. day three keeps rolling out with photos from all the shows and as much coverage of my outfits as i could handle. the temperatures on the east coast are more reminiscent of the apocalypse then a getaway but as usual we just roll with the punches. travelling from winter to winter is always a practice in patience. luckily we had a full day off on the coldest day of the trip and the days when i did brave the weather i managed to steer free of any signs of a cold. the outfit i wore to the tibi show was more or less quite the crowd pleaser. you might have seen some posts on the facebook page of it’s appearances in lucky, harper’s bazaar, saks fifth avenue and style caster. i fell in love with this tibi skirt when i first saw it at nordstrom so when it finally arrived in our hotel a few days before the show i was so ready to throw it on. in perfect thematic fashion i had planned this outfit, quite by accident may i add, to fall on valentine’s day. so by perfect coincidence it definitely was the pop of colour i much needed on that gloomy new york saturday. xoxo
