how fast time flies. just a week ago i was lucky enough to welcome fall with a presentation of my must have pieces for the season, alongside elle canada & 424fifth hosted by hudson’s bay. i interrupted our visit to new york to be able to attend the event and was it ever worth it. you can say that the greatest things happen in fashion capitals of the world, but nothing compares to the love you get at home. it’s really such a treat to see those familiar faces, and some new ones, coming out and being passionate about the fashion industry. so many great things happen and it’s an honour to be bringing them home and bridging those gaps. big thanks go to hudson’s bay, of course for asking me to participate as one of the presenters, topshop for my outfit, my beautiful models, my assistant for the day, meghan and all my wonderful friends who came to support and help me in light of tyler’s abscence <3
first on the agenda, for a bright and early start to the day was the lolë yoga class. a nod to the launch of the newest active wear brand at hudson’s bay, those registered for the class enjoyed some complimentary snacks and drinks and an hour of stretching right at the doorstep of the newly renovated hudson’s bay at chinook centre.

as the start to the fashion portion of the program, tyler and i prepared a short video to introduce the blog and myself to those attending. with my speech prepared and ready to go i proceeded to talk to my favourite pieces of the season. the outfits were prepared around individual items that we all already have in our closets. the statement jacket, the bright colours, the chunky knits… each of my looks revolved around the idea of building an outfit around that favourite piece and adapting it for the current season. with amazing new stock, in store and online, hudson’s bay has become a real destination for fashionistas around the city. vince, theory, rebecca taylor, marc by marc jacobs, joie & equipment are only some of the great new labels you can now find.  obsessed with the outfits on all the girls (and boys), below are some of my favourites, along with a curated shopping list of all the items, you’re welcome:
maison scotch coat, theory sweater, equipment blouse, a gold e jeans, expression boots, topshop toque

once upon a time i had the pleasure of working with anthony and today was an unplanned reunion, thanks to the creative minds at elle canada we got a glimpse of what we can expect to see trending for fall. together with fun pattens, lots of layers and head to toe knitwear, the oversize blazer look was hands down my favourite of the day.
it was a great pleasure meeting jessica for the first time. 424fifth being such a young brand has already come a long way. their coveted sweaters and skirts are making some serious rounds on the bloggosphere and the collections just keep outdoing themselves. for fall they are rocking some amazing oversized  knits and mandatory plaids. we had the pleasure of meeting with the team behind the brand on our new york visit and hope to bring you some exclusive 424 content in the coming months.
as always follow me on instagram for daily updates of what i am up to. below are some snaps that didn’t make it to the grid. stay tuned for a post of what i wore to the hudson’s bay presentation and your links to shop the outfit. thanks again everyone for coming out. if you have any questions lingering from last weekend don’t be shy to reach out at any time. you know where to find me. xoxo
