i first met lynsey at the impromptu show for hillberg & berk at alberta fashion week. it was my favorite show of the night. the girls were all dressed in black american apparel dresses as to excentuate the beautiful jewelry that was sent down the runway. we each got five looks of bracelets, necklaces and earrings. all the pieces are made from sterling silver, vermeil or 14K gold fill. the fall/winter 2010 lalita deva collection is inspired by the bold prints and jewel tones of the always extravagant, traditional indian clothing. there is nothing toned down about these pieces. rich indian rubies, sapphires and emeralds don the new signature toggle and hoop earrings. i had the pleasure of meeting rachel mielke, the brands’ designer and ceo on sunday night at hillberg & berk’s trunk show at calgary’s chiasso coffee company. i also had another chance to thank the two ladies (pictured above: rachel on the left, lynsey on the right) for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this great brand.
